Hardware and Software Requirements

What hardware do I need to use this site?
You will need a computer with internet access and a web browser in order to use the Discovery Health CME website. Additionally, if you want to be able to print your CME certificates, you will need to have a printer attached to the computer you are using.

What software do I need to use this site?
You will need certain free software to access all of the features of the Discovery Health CME website. A complete list of this software, along with links to download it for free can be found by clicking here.

How can I find out more about a specific CME program?
Each of our CME programs has its own area of the site. Please see the list of our CME programs by clicking here and then click on the program you would like to learn more about.

Where can I find out more about studies referenced in a program?
A complete list of the studies referenced in our programs is included as part of the reference material for each program. Go to the list of programs by clicking here and click on the show you're interested in. Then, look for the reference link on the left side of the page. You will need to be registered and signed-in in order to access the list of studies.

How much does Discovery Health CME cost?
Earning credit through Discovery Health CME is free.

Who accredits Discovery Health CME programs?
Discovery Health CME programs are accredited by nationally recognized healthcare institutions and medical schools that are fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). When you earn credit for watching a Discovery Health CME program, you will be awarded credit by the accrediting sponsor, not Discovery Health CME. What type of credit can I earn for watching Discovery Health CME?
Discovery Health CME programs are each approved for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 credit. Other types of credit may also be available. For more information on the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award, please visit the AMA PRA website.

How do I get CME credit for watching Discovery Health CME?
Obtaining credit for watching Discovery Health CME is an easy, three step process:

Step 1: If this is your first time here, you will need to register here. If you have already registered, please sign-in here.
Step 2: Follow the link to Earn CME Credit from the main page of the program you have watched.
Step 3: You'll be able to print your CME certificate immediately! After successfully completing the post-test and filling out the evaluation, you will be directed to a page where you can print your CME certificate right from your computer.

You will need to click on the link included in the e-mail to confirm your registration.
